tiny gold baby feet and a Good Day
at the Beach
We had a very eventful
afternoon at the beach and I'm glad I went to be present to speak to people
about Gods love. We had several people who stopped at our table in need of
prayer. But one couple stands out. They were in their 30's and while looking
through our books and Bibles, noticed the
tiny gold baby feet pinned to our tablecloth and asked about it. I explained
that those feet are the exact imprint and size of a baby's feet in the mother's
womb...at 10 weeks after conception. They were amazed! Then the boyfriend
said, "That's the same age as our baby growing inside my girlfriend here...10
weeks.
Why do you have it
on display?" he asked. I explained that many babies are aborted at 10 weeks
and lose their lives, and this pin shows the baby is not just a clump of flesh,
but a person already formed...the baby just needs to grow more before birth.
The young women burst into tears and wept for at least 10 minutes when she
heard this. Her boyfriend stood there holding her and trying to consol her.
We ended up counseling
them for an hour. Their story is they had come to the beach to discuss the
abortion he wanted her to get. We have a neat man on our bible team who took
the young man aside and counseled him alone. Two of our Christian women talked
with the young women. After talking with us they both decided not to get the
abortion. We prayed with both of them and they recommitted their lives to
Jesus Christ. They left happy and seemed very much in love. I think they'll
be getting married soon.
