Today we were blessed with fifteen prayer warriors including two families with young children and, by the Grace of Almighty God and Our Lady of Guadalupe, one young woman chose life for her unborn baby standing strong against both Planned Parenthood (who referred her to FPA) and, then, against FPA who tried to push her towards abortion.!

The young woman “A” drove right up to the exit and said to me “I did not have the abortion even though those idiots up there (FPA) tried to push me into it “. She was visibly angry and repeatedly told me that “they can't even read an ultrasound”; apparently, there was a question of her having uterine fibroids and FPA wasn't sure of her pregnancy; still they urged her to have the abortion. She said even though she had determined she was not having an abortion they were unable to discuss anything else with her. She repeated, “I was not having the abortion and yet that’s all they wanted to talk about”. She went on to say “do they do anything else up there?” Before I had a chance to answer she said, “I doubt it”. “The nurses up there have no idea what they are doing.” Then, without any prompting, she went on to describe the scene in the waiting room: “They are all in one room, dressed in blue gowns and sitting as if they are zombies, not saying a word. It was horrific looking at them all. So, after telling everyone what I thought. I just got up and left. I couldn't get out of there fast enough!”

After acknowledging her ability to discern the truth, with the help of Holy Spirit, I congratulated her on the strength and courage she demonstrated in the face of pure evil in standing up for herself and her unborn baby. I told her Almighty God and her baby were so very grateful and proud of her for listening to both of them in getting up and leaving to go where she and her baby would be safe and get the help she needed. Then giving her some information on CULTURE OF LIFE FAMILY SERVICES, I explained what and who they are and what was available for her. I, also, gave her a rosary and my phone number should she want to talk further. Before leaving, she glanced at the prayer warriors, expressed her gratitude and drove out.

I was able to have several conversations, today, with different couples. One young man I spoke with was against his girlfriend having the abortion. Yet, he shared with me that after two weeks he was unable to talk her out of it. Having spoken to several men who felt this way before, I encouraged him to try to talk with her again, outside the abortion mill, using all the normal methods tried before. With Tim’s (Orange County’s sidewalk counselor) words fresh in my mind I encouraged him to let her know that her choosing to kill this child over his desire to keep this baby would kill their relationship and that if she really cared about him, she would listen to what he had to say. After he and I spoke & prayed for several minutes, he (crying) drove in, phoned her and she came out, got in his car and spoke with him, again, but after about fifteen minutes she went back up into the mill and he left, as he told her he would if she chose to kill their baby, and did not return. Please pray for “I” (the boyfriend) and for his girlfriend.

Two families stopped to ask why there are always people praying here and after being told of the abortion mill, they said they were so grateful to all those who came out to pray every week and would join in prayer wherever they were.

Thank you to everyone who came to FPA to pray on Saturday, to all who pray though cannot be physically present. We've witnessed women change their mind, or give decisions a second thought after glancing (even briefly) towards the prayer warriors. Along with the tremendous power of prayer, the physical presence of someone on their knees praying forces some to give pause to the reality of what they are about to do.

Please continue to pray for “A” who chose life for her unborn baby and for “I” who (as far as I know) was unable to talk his girlfriend from having the abortion though he tried as hard as he could to stop her from going through with killing their child.
